Below you will find a summary of what students are learning and what assignments are being done in class, or may need to be done at home. This is for Ms. Brown's 7th grade English Language Arts class.
Summary of Recent Topics
10/31 Students are reading the tele-play "The Monsters are due on Maple Street"
10/22 Students are going over what make s good and poor arguments 10/17 Students are creating and supporting arguments 10/3 Students took a test over "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi" 9/30 Listen to a shorty story "Thank You M'am" 9/23 Notes on character and conflict
9/18 Students went over Connotation (what a word seems to mean from context) and Denotation (the dictionary definition for a word) 9/16 Students went over vocabular in context, or figuring out what words mean from the surrounding words.
9/13 Students have begun writing their own precepts (motto, or important rules) based on the book Wonder. 9/4 Introduction to the book Wonder
8/27 Great start to the year. Ms. Brown's first requirement is that all papers are headed like this: Name (first and last) Date Period |
